Art in the Open is inviting local, regional and national artists to submit their artistic proposals for the annual summer festival. The festival’s main event will take place from 4pm until midnight on Saturday, August 27th, 2022. The festival is looking for unique submissions that will transform downtown Charlottetown’s green spaces into magical, memorable, creative spaces that will be shared by all members of the community. We are interested in art projects that invite the attendees of the festival to engage with and participate in the art in some capacity.
Art in the Open is one of the most anticipated outdoor festivals in the city of Charlottetown during the summer season. Festival locations will include Rochford Square, Connaught Square, the Confederation Centre plaza, Victoria Row and Victoria Park.
Submissions should be new, innovative, and represent excellence in your field of art. Deadline for submission is April 26th, 2022.
