Nicole Rampersaud

Composer, improviser, and trumpet player Nicole Rampersaud has a unique voice that cuts across a broad range of musical practices and traditions. Her intrepid listening and boundless curiosity have made her an internationally sought-after collaborator throughout several musical communities.

Nicole’s individualistic versatility has led to collaborations with many of the leading innovators in contemporary music: Anthony Braxton, Joe Morris, Ra-kalam Bob Moses, Sandro Perri, and many more. Her compositions have been performed at Göteberg Art Sounds in Sweden, the Festival of New Trumpet Music, EVERYSEEKER, Canadian Music Centre, Vale of Glamorgan Festival, and Nocturne Halifax.





Composer and Trumpet Player Nicole Rampersaud will perform a site specific piece using trumpet, effects, and field recordings to illuminate the acoustics and history of Victoria Park. Rampersaud explores the sonic possibilities of the trumpet, it’s full capabilities and the resonance of its sounds with the living environment from which it plays.
